PRIVATE WORKSHOPS
The Value Of a Veteran offers private workshops for companies, associations and chambers in two formats: on-site and virtual.
ON-SITE: We provide a trainer to deliver the full 1-Day workshop on a date of your choosing at a location you designate. Payment of a speaker fee, which includes travel expenses, is required to reserve a full day on-site workshop. Click to view the full description of the workshops below.

VIRTUAL: The same content that is covered in a full day on-site workshop is delivered as four LIVE individual web seminars on dates and times of your choosing. A different military recruiting topic is covered on each date. Standard set up includes up to 100 locations/IP addresses accessing the session simultaneously. Virtual is a great option when attendees are distributed across many locations and travel budget and/or time away from the office is a primary concern. LICENSE
All of the content offered in the corporate workshop can be licensed on a per-seat, annual basis as individual recorded web seminars. This option is ideal as refresher training for those who have attended a workshop and as initial training for new recruiters, hiring managers and supervisors who did not attend an earlier workshop.

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS
Veterans Recruitment Workshop for Employers
AUDIENCE: HR professionals, recruiters, diversity specialists, EEO/Compliance officers and hiring managers (or groups of employers, such as SHRM chapters or Chambers of Commerce)
PURPOSE: To gain information, motivation and direction to jump-start development of a military recruiting initiative.
FORMAT: The workshop for corporate employers includes the following topics:
- Making the business case to have a military hiring strategy, including tax credits and OFCCP compliance requirements, and how to address the most common resistance arguments against hiring military
- Understanding all your cost/low-cost/no cost sourcing options for finding veterans to hire
- Recruitment marketing tactics for conducting outreach to the military and social media recruiting techniques
- Developing a military-to-civilian skills crosswalk and translating the military occupational code
- Understanding levels of responsibility and salary expectations by military grade
